FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., March 3, 2003 -- Hyundai Motor America today announced sales of 27,508 vehicles for the month of February, a 1.2 percent increase over January’s record sales. “The U.S. auto market is extremely competitive right now and auto buyers are looking for value. Fortunately, when customers consider styling, quality and value – they discover Hyundai products meet their needs,” said Robert Cosmai, vice-president of national sales for Hyundai Motor America.
“February sales were lead by Elantra and Santa Fe, both with strong performances above last year. Tiburon and XG350 finished ahead of last February’s sales levels.
“The Hyundai model line now ranges from the extensively revised 2003 entry-level Accent to the Santa Fe sport utility vehicle all the way up to the luxurious XG350 sedan. And, in addition to our complete line of high-quality, high-value vehicles, another factor bringing customers into Hyundai showrooms is the outstanding protection offered by The Hyundai Advantage, America’s Best Warranty” Cosmai added.
