FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Aug. 2, 2005 – U.S. customers purchased or leased 44,431 cars and sport utilities from Hyundai Motor America in July, setting a new all-time, single-month sales record for the company. Sales were up 11 percent compared with a year ago. The Hyundai Elantra broke its own all-time monthly record with retail sales of 13,050, beating the previous record of 12,828 units set in August of 2003.

Our lead in quality, value, performance and standard safety features, as evidenced by Sonata’s recent first place victory over Accord and Camry in the Inside Line comparison test by, is paying off.”

All Hyundai cars and sport utility vehicles sold in the U.S. are covered by The Hyundai Advantage, America’s Best Warranty.
