FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Sept. 16, 2019 – AutoPacific® named the Hyundai Kona as a winner of the 2019 Ideal Vehicle Award, earning the highest overall vehicle score in the Compact Crossover SUV Segment. The 2019 Ideal Vehicle Awards (IVA) recognize vehicles that best meet owners’ expectations in terms of size, performance, efficiency, technology and convenience features, design and overall value.
“At Hyundai, we take tremendous pride in always putting the customer first,” said Scott Margason, director, Product Planning, Hyundai Motor America. “Whether it be equipping our vehicles with advanced safety technology or creating a satisfying in-vehicle experience, all our efforts are focused on meeting our customers’ needs and desires.”
The 2019 Ideal Vehicle Awards (IVA) are based on responses from more than 50,000 owners of new vehicles across all major manufacturers. Based solely on owner input, AutoPacific IVAs measure the level of fusion between owner expectations and reality. Scores are developed using results from AutoPacific's national New Vehicle Satisfaction Survey. Respondents to this survey are owners of new model year cars and trucks purchased from September through December 2018.
The award-winning Hyundai Kona comes with standard equipment that includes a seven-inch LCD touchscreen with rearview camera, Android Auto™, Apple CarPlay™, and LED Daytime Running Lights. A suite of advanced safety features is also available including:
