New Website to Align Global Internet Strategy and Strengthen Brand Awareness

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., March 13, 2009 – Hyundai Motor America’s official U.S. website,, is transitioning to a global website domain, The change will simplify the official Hyundai website in an effort to unify brand identity and align global internet strategy.

“As Hyundai continues to gain industry momentum, there is a growing importance of leveraging Internet marketing as means of enhancing communications with customers,” said Simon Cho, manager, Interactive Marketing, Hyundai Motor America. “Hyundai has been investing resources to be a leader in Internet domain and the standardized global website is the first step to providing consistent brand messaging.”

In addition, Hyundai plans to issue a global guideline for all its subsidiaries and distributors worldwide in order to unify the look and feel of all Hyundai sites worldwide. The change includes an advanced geo-targeting technology that automatically identifies and displays relevant country information based on user location.

The complete transition to will be made gradually based on region.
