All-New 2015 Genesis Featured at One of Celebrity Golf’s Most Popular Events
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., March 27, 2014 – Hyundai is expanding its golf relationships by becoming the exclusive automotive sponsor of the 13th Annual Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational. The annual tournament is one of celebrity golf’s most popular events featuring the biggest names in sports and entertainment. This year it will be held April 3-6 at the prestigious Shadow Creek Golf Course in Las Vegas, Nev.
As the official automotive sponsor of the tournament, Hyundai will showcase its all-new 2015 Genesis premium sedan and its Equus flagship sedan. The vehicles will be displayed around the course and players will have a chance to win a Genesis through a hole-in-one opportunity.

The all-new 2015 Genesis premium sedan represents a bold step forward for Hyundai, continuing to build upon its successful strategy of marketing its premium models under the Hyundai brand umbrella, rather than a costly separate luxury brand sales channel. The new Genesis is incredibly well-equipped in every configuration. This content includes a generous suite of standard safety and convenience features. For the first time in a Hyundai sedan, a sophisticated AWD system will be offered, known as HTRAC®, significantly broadening Genesis appeal in Snowbelt regions throughout theU.S. The new Genesis will be built at Hyundai’s Ulsan, Korea plant, with U.S. sales beginning in the spring.
In the golf world, Hyundai is the title sponsor of the Hyundai Tournament of Champions, the PGA TOUR’s winners-only event held each January in Hawaii. During this year’s West Coast Swing, Hyundai was also the official vehicle of the PGA TOUR’s Humana Challenge in partnership with the Clinton Foundation and vehicle partner for the Farmers Insurance Open.
