Christopher Hosford joined Hyundai Motor America in 1997 as director of communications. He is responsible for the company's corporate, product, and media relations.
Hosford was formerly chief operating officer and director of the Automotive Group in the Los Angeles office of GCI, an international public relations firm.
Prior to joining GCI, Hosford was manager of technology and manufacturing public relations at Chrysler Corporation and a member of the corporate communications strategy team. Hosford began his work in public relations at Hill and Knowlton, Inc. where he was vice president of the firm's Japanese Business Division.
Hosford began his career as a newspaper editor and later was a magazine editor and editorial director.
Hosford serves on the board of several charitable organizations and is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and the International Motor Press Association.
He resides in West Hollywood, California.
