Omar Rivera rejoined Hyundai in December 2017 as director of Quality and Service Engineering. Rivera is responsible for leading the team tasked with creating an exceptional product experience for Hyundai owners. Duties for this team include model line engineering, port and accessory quality assurance, and engineering analysis, among other responsibilities.
Rivera brings a wealth of experience to the team, most recently serving as the head of after sales operations at Faraday Future. Prior to that, he was the director of global service operations at Tesla Motors. Rivera previously served Hyundai Motor America as senior group manager of Service Engineering, senior manager of Field Service Engineering and manager of Quality Strategy. Earlier in his career, Rivera spent time working at Ford in various roles.
Throughout his career, Rivera has demonstrated excellence in process and design optimization, as well as building and leading global operations to create innovative solutions and differentiating customer satisfaction experiences. He is committed to boosting sales, improving products, reinforcing operational excellence, promoting safety and reducing costs.
Rivera holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Detroit Mercy in Detroit.
