Santa Fe and Santa Fe Sport received the award for the midsize crossover/SUV class, competing with 16 other models. HYUNDAI EXPANDS OFFER OF FREE APPLE CARPLAY® AND ANDROID AUTO™ SOFTWARE UPDATES TO GROWING LINE OF VEHICLES
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Aug. 8, 2016 – Hyundai is adding smartphone integrations to several more existing models today, via do-it-yourself installation and now has completed the rollout of smartphone integration across the 2017 model year lineup. The software update compatible with CarPlay and Android Auto is now available at no cost through MyHyundai.com (www.myhyundai.com). The software will also be available at Hyundai dealerships nationwide for an installation fee.
HYUNDAI SANTA FE SPORT EARNS TOP SAFETY PICK+
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., May 17, 2016 – The 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport when equipped with optional front crash prevention, has earned the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s (IIHS) TOP SAFETY PICK+ award today for achieving a high level of safety standards. The Santa Fe Sport received good ratings in the institute’s moderate overlap front, small overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraints tests. Santa Fe Sport’s optional Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) with Pedestrian Detection also earned a superior rating.
HYUNDAI APPLAUDS NHTSA AND IIHS CALL FOR STANDARD AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
Fountain Valley, Calif., Mar. 17, 2016 – Hyundai Motor America, a strong advocate for standardizing effective safety technologies, praises the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and the automotive industry for working together to make Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) a standard feature on new cars in the future. The group, in which Hyundai was pleased to participate, has developed a voluntary commitment to make AEB standard on all new cars no later than NHTSA’s 2022 reporting year.
2017 HYUNDAI SANTA FE LINE-UP FEATURES ENHANCED DESIGN, INFOTAINMENT, LED LIGHTING, CONVENIENCE AND SAFETY
CHICAGO, Feb. 11, 2016 – The award-winning Hyundai Santa Fe lineup continues to dramatically improve for the 2017 model year. The improvements span everything from fresh exterior design and LED lighting signatures to additional infotainment, convenience and safety technologies and new Drive Mode selection with Sport, Eco and Normal settings. For 2017, in order to meet increased market demand, production of the two-row Santa Fe Sport model will be added to the Montgomery, Alabama manufacturing facility, alongside the Sonata and Elantra sedan models. The 2017 Santa Fe is arriving at dealers now.
