(HATCI) teamed up with Magnuson Products, Rhys Millen Racing, Harman International and Torvec Inc. to develop and build a special edition prototype Genesis Coupe, the Genesis Hurricane SC. HATCI, Hyundai’s design, technology and engineering branch, will display the high-performance Genesis Coupe in Hyundai’s 2011 SEMA Show booth from November 1-4, 2011 in Las Vegas.

The RM500 Genesis Coupe is a 450-horsepower machine with a distinct, production-ready look. R-Spec takes the core performance equipment from the 3.8 Track model and eliminates non-essential convenience equipment to reduce its weight by 68 pounds and price by $4,000. The 3.8 R-Spec allows enthusiasts to use that $4,000 to tune their own car to their desired specifications.
