HYUNDAI MOTOR AMERICA REPORTS RECORD MARCH SALES

  • Elantra Sets All-Time Monthly Record

 

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., April 1, 2015 – Hyundai Motor America today reported its best month ever, selling 75,019 units, up 12 percent versus the same period last year.

“Our momentum continued into March and helped contribute to our year-to-date sales gain of 7.5 percent, our strongest first quarter ever,” said Dave Zuchowski, president and CEO, Hyundai Motor America. “Today at the NYIAS we will debut our all-new 2016 Tucson that will help us sustain these strong sales and attract new customers to our showroom floors, allowing us to continue to grow the brand.”

Genesis sedan once again led the charge with a 141 percent increase over last year, followed by the Elantra family that was up 34 percent and the sub-compact Accent, up 28 percent.
