HYUNDAI SALES FOR JULY SET ANOTHER RECORD, SALES UP 18% OVER THE PREVIOUS YEAR FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., 08/01/2002 Hyundai Motor America today announced sales of 36,744 vehicles for the month of July. "This is our 18th consecutive month of record-setting sales," said Hyundai's Vice President of Sales Robert Cosmai. "July sales were very strong, led by the Elantra and the hot-selling Santa Fe sport utility vehicle which both set new all time monthly sales records. Buyers looking for styling, performance and value have given Hyundai tremendous sales momentum this year and we expect these strong sales to continue through the summer," he added.
