HYUNDAI SALES FOR MAY SET ALL-TIME RECORD, SALES UP 10% OVER THE PREVIOUS YEAR FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., 06/03/2002 Hyundai Motor America today announced sales of 34,696 vehicles for the month of May, setting a new all-time sales record. "Hyundai sales were up nearly 10% percent over last May," said Robert Cosmai, vice-president of sales for Hyundai Motor America. "This marks our best sales month ever and 16th consecutive month of record-setting sales. May sales also set a new all-time record for the popular Hyundai Santa Fe sport utility vehicle. Hyundai has tremendous momentum going into the summer sales period and we expect these strong sales to continue," he added. "Our customers customers now perceive Hyundai products as having high quality, great styling and tremendous value. And all of this is backed by America's Best Warranty," Cosmai said.
