| HYUNDAI SALES FOR JANUARY SET ANOTHER RECORD FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., 02/03/2003 Hyundai Motor America today announced sales of 27,179 vehicles for the month of January surpassing last January's sales and setting a new record for the month. "After setting an all-time annual sales record in 2002 we have begun 2003 on a strong note," said Hyundai's Vice President of Sales Robert Cosmai. "Strong sales of our Elantra and Santa Fe models assisted us in attaining another record month. The market remains very competitive, however our value message and America's Best Warranty continue to resonate with the Hyundai customers. Our customers understand that Hyundai products have high quality, great styling and tremendous value," he added. "In addition to our complete line of high-quality, high-value Hyundai cars and sport utility vehicles, another factor that continues to bring customers into Hyundai showrooms is The Hyundai Advantage, America's Best Warranty" Cosmai said. "Hyundai buyers are covered by a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty, a 5-year/60,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty, a 5-year/100,000-mile anti-perforation warranty and 5-year/unlimited-mile roadside assistance protection," he added.
