AUGUST 2010 SALES

Hyundai Motor America today announced sales of 53,603, down 11 percent compared with the all-time sales record set in August 2009, when the successful “Cash for Clunkers” program was in place. Still, August marked the third best volume month in company history, saw a 5.3 percent retail market share -- the highest market share ever achieved -- and delivered the 20th consecutive month of retail market share gains. For the year, Hyundai has reported cumulative sales of 363,491, up 17 percent versus the same period in 2009, and remains on track to establish an all-time sales record for the full year.

  HYUNDAI INTRODUCES WEB SAVVY CONSUMERS TO 2011 SONATA THROUGH “UNCENSORED” FACEBOOK CAMPAIGN
Hyundai today welcomes 25 new Sonata drivers and will add 25 more late this month as part of its “Uncensored” Facebook campaign. Twenty-five consumers were given the opportunity to test drive the all-new 2011 Sonata for the next 30 days in exchange for their uncensored opinions, which they will share via Hyundai’s social media channels, including the Hyundai Facebook page. Kelley Blue Book’s Kbb.com Brand Watch reports that for the first time ever, Hyundai has made the list of top five most-considered brands. In Q2 2010 Hyundai brand consideration surged nearly six percentage points in the non-luxury coupe/sedan/hatchback segment. (08/11/2010)
   
  MOST FUEL-EFFICIENT AUTOMAKER IN AMERICA, HYUNDAI, SAYS LINEUP TO AVERAGE MINIMUM 50 MPG BY 2025
Hyundai Motor America, the leading fuel economy auto manufacturer in the U.S., announced plans to maintain its leadership and achieve a corporate average fuel economy (CAFE) rating of at least 50 miles per gallon (mpg) by 2025 for its lineup of passenger cars and light duty trucks. (08/04/2010)

  HYUNDAI STATEMENT REGARDING COLLISION REPAIR PARTS
Hyundai Motor America does not support the use of aftermarket, imitation or recycled collision repair parts. The use of such parts or other non-original Hyundai equipment for the repair of any collision-damaged vehicle may negatively affect crashworthiness and occupant safety during a collision therefore is not supported by Hyundai. Additionally, Hyundai does not support the use or re-use of components removed or recycled from an existing collision-damaged vehicle. (07/22/2010)
